The Pirna Municipal Library is located in a former town house worth seeing on Dohnaische Straße and is Pirna’s largest library. There is not only something to discover in terms of architectural history, the more than 60,000 books, magazines, games, films and music for young and old are also worth a visit. Comfortable sofas and stools invite you to linger and browse. Books can not only be borrowed on site, the library also offers its visitors an extensive online range.

In 2011, the Pirna City Library was the winner of the “Saxon Library Prize” and in 2015 with the online association LieSa.
