Jihlava educates through culture
In the fall of 2017, a conference was held in Jihlava that presented the long-term project "Jihlava vzdělává kulturou" (Jihlava educates through culture). This was followed by the "Incubator", where cultural actors could meet at regular meetings and share their ideas. This is also where the idea of joining three cultural institutions was born, resulting in the cooperation between the Municipal Library Jihlava, the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands Museum in Jihlava and the Horácké Theatre Jihlava. The 3in1 programme was aimed at pupils in the 8th and 9th grades of elementary school, and especially secondary school students. It was a full day programme in which the students visited three cultural institutions and learned about them. They therefore discussed the topic in three different environments, on three different levels of thinking and working with authenticity. The chosen topic was always associated with a play from the current season of Horácké Theatre Jihlava, where the programme ended, and which enabled the students to experience and understand the message of the given topic more intensely.
